Speaker: James McQuilla (President of the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce)
James McQuilla graduated from The Citadel Military College with a Bachelor of Science degree and earned his MBA from Winthrop University. He has over 30 years of experience in sales, management, and entrepreneurship. Throughout his career, he has successfully led businesses through growth, change, and new challenges.
James has worked in a variety of fields, including higher education, medical management, pharmaceutical sales, government contracting, and nonprofit leadership. As CEO of Professional Buyers Advantage, LLC, he built a multi-million-dollar government contracting firm, securing over 300 federal contracts in just ten years.
Today, James serves as President of the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce where he promotes Orangeburg as a great place to live, work, and visit. He focuses on building strong partnerships within the community and helping more entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.
James recently became a children’s book author with the release of The Adventures of Matty Peajay and the Sumter Bunch. He is also a proud father of two adult children—his daughter, Jai, is a physician, and his son, Matthew, will complete an MBA and a law degree at Northwestern University in Chicago in May of 2025.
