Speaker: Alphia M. Dunbar, MPH (SC Human Affairs Commission)
Alphia Dunbar currently serves as Training Coordinator at the South Carolina Human Affairs
Commission. In this role, she creates and delivers employment law training programs and
workshops, to raise the awareness of state and federal laws, that prohibit unlawful discrimination
and harassment in the workplace. These trainings are designed for South Carolina State
government agencies, local government agencies, private sector businesses, and nonprofit
agencies & organizations located in the state of South Carolina.
Alphia believes that creating a respectful and inclusive environment starts by educating
managers, supervisors, and employees on their rights and responsibilities. Alphia has been
active in the field of training, staff development, and curriculum design for more than 15 years. She earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Walden University.
