Meeting

Our December meeting will be a holiday celebration and open forum.  We will have some lunchtime holiday cheer and share ideas and information before heading into 2017. 

Healthy Living Inside and Out

Several great presenters are lined up along with a few surprises!  Sponsors for this event include Marlin Communications, SC Future Scholars and the March of Dimes.  This should be a wonderful event that you will not want to miss!  See full agenda in the program outline.   

For guests, the cost to attend is $20.  Plan to bring your business card for door prizes and bring a friend to see what MSHRM is all about! 

Billy Staley, Director of Orangeburg County Emergency Services will be our presenter.  He will be speaking on County services available such as Hurricane Preparedness, Chemical Spills and Active Shooter Response.     

A1 Company will be our lunch sponsor and will also have a short presentation. 

Kelvin Terry – Benefits Advisor with the US Department of Labor (Atlanta) will be our presenter.  His topics will be COBRA and HIPAA. 

Pamela Gorman, with Cedar Entertainment (Carowinds) will be our lunch sponsor and will also have a presentation.

Rhonda Pitts with the SC Vocational Rehabilitation Holmesview Center is the speaker.  She will give a presentation on the alcohol and drug rehabilitation services available through SC Vocational Rehabilitation.

A tour of the Husqvarna plant with lunch at the plant will be the May meeting.

CPM Federal Credit Union is the lunch sponsor.

Beverly Deal, Workforce Readiness Director with Phillips Staffing in Spartanburg and Upstate District Director with SC SHRM State Council, will give a presentation on work ready communities.  This has been pre-approved for one hour of SHRM continuing education credit.

Chris Johnson with Gignilliant, Savitz & Bettis will present on affordable health care.

Hagood Tighe from Fisher & Phillips present on "Managing Mental Health Issues in the Workplace."
